Has it really been that long?

My goodness, where has the time gone? Can't believe it's been so long since I posted anything!

Not got any cards to put on right now but soon will have, still have ebay listings but I'm having real probs with royal mail! Things are going missing, getting damaged, it's not a strike they need it's a kick up the backside!

Summer hols

I can't believe we are into week two of the summer holidays! Yes the kids are driving me nuts and the weather has been variable but it's nice not to have to stick to a schedule. Unfortunately it means I haven't had much time to make anything new, have been doing a little bit of drawing though and attempting to decorate the house. Painting ceilings is no easy task when you're 5 ft 1 and scared to go up step ladders!
Anyway, I need some inspiration! I want to get started on my Christmas cards soon! I need something simple yet effective. Any suggestions welcome, colours, stamps, jsut any ideas really, can't seem to get my head around Christmas?

Survived!

Well, I managed to survive the weekend at the Download festival! It was soooo hot! I swear there is no ozone layer left over britain! The music was great, especially Faith no More and slipknot. Got squashed, got soaked with lager (well I hope it was lager) and had to sleep on a very lumpy patch of ground but it was great fun even if I did stay sober!
Anyway, more stuff added to ebay again, stamped images this time again, not had time to get any cards or toppers done but the summer holidays will be here very soon so hoping to have time to get some done, might even start early on the Christmas cards!!

Let the festival begin!

Well, it's festival season again so this weekend I'm off to Castle Donnington for the Download festival! I'm just hoping the rain stays away but I'm thinking wellies might be the order of the day!
Will no doubt be posting some pics when I get back.....xx

Apologies to all who find the music irritating! I couldn't help myself, it's one of my all time favs, Ok the subject matter is a bit on the depressing side but I love James dean Bradfields voice and it's from a time when Richey was still in the band.

No stamping!

Decided to try a few cards with no stamping on at all. I usually have something stamped on my cards so it was a wee bit of a challenge but hey ho, see what you think.

Pretty much Everything on them is pink petticoat (as usual) with a few bits and pieces from the old stash. The big happy birthday rub on is one I made all by myself! I found some amazing stuff that you print onto and make them, it's a bit fiddly and time consuming to do but it's great to be able to have your very own rub ons in what ever font/colour that you need.

Yippee! kids are back at school OH is back at work and I have a day off, peace at last! Got a few wee things to do then I can play with my stash. I have no cards on order at the minute so I am free to play and do what I fancy, any suggestions? Might just hunt out a few of my older stamps that have been neglected.

penny black Saturday challenge

think I'm getting into this challenge thing! Thought I'd have a go at the penny black one. not as easy as it sounds as there it's pretty much anything goes so nothing to shove me in any direction let alone the right one! Anyhoo, I kept it simple and used my newly aquired skills with the pro markers to be the focal point!

Thought I'd try my luck on the sugar bowl challenge, and what a challenge, MEN! Never the easiest to make cards for but I have no choice in my house, 4 boys and a husband!

Ebay

Finally got round to putting a few bits and bobs on Ebay again. I had given up on it for a while as the seller fees were just daylight robbery for an occassional seller like me, but they are now doing listings of 99p and under free! Woo hoo!! So go on, have a wee peek. The link is at the top on the right of the blog.

Bit of a mix here, had some to do for the girls at work so here they are.
Sympathy cards are never easy so I kept it simple, just stamped, coloured and a wee rub on.
The baby cards are paper pieced using some free templates from a mag. The others were just an excuse to play with the pro markers and get a feel for them. I'm not sure how they compare to copics but I'm loving them and they were just right price wise for me.

I just love these gorjuss stamps.

I just think they are the cutest things out just now. The first card was coloured with pro markers (yes I finally got round to buying some), the image cut out and mounted on 3d pads onto layered circles of gold and patterened paper. Can't remember who the paper is by as my stash is in complete anarchy as usual.
The second card is just very plain and simple, again pro markers and cut out and sitting in some prima flowers with brads and gems.

Been wanting these for a while but never got round to buying any. Hobbycraft opened a new store near me so what a perfect excuse! Any tips or tricks to using these to best effect will be greatfully recieved as I have always used water colours to do my images.

Been having a real old play about with stuff I forgot I had and a few new additions, loving those smirks!  They are so me, especially the devil ones!  Yet again the pink petticoat papers are in there and forever friends and sizzix.

no more blog neglect!!

Well for the time being anyway!  I have an afternoon off work today as I have a really gunky eye infection, not the best look I've ever had, so I thought I'd do a wee update on what I've been up to.

the building is finished (woo hoo) and the decorating started.  I've been to the priest feast to see megadeth, testament and Judas Priest which was amazing and am now looking forward to seeing AC/DC and going to the download festival in June so no doubt I will be prattling on about that a fair bit as the excitment builds!  Any hoo, in between all that I've done a few cards, so sneak a peek!

Where have I been?

Nowhere!  I have been neglecting my blog!  The building work is pretty much finished so now the mammoth task of decorating and tidying is about to get underway!

Really need to get some cards done too, the blog is not the only thing getting none of my attention.  Had a good clear out of my craft stash though and found all sorts of things that I had forgotten about so I will have to put it to good use and get some cards made!

Ah, back to normality, well almost.  The builders are back on Monday so I have a few days to get sorted out and make a start on the pile of cards I need to make!
